Each year the Monterey Bay APWA Chapter awards up to four scholarship grants to college students pursing civil engineering or other public works/construction related degrees. For 2010 the grants are $1,500 each.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students must be enrolled at a university or community college and pursing a degree in civil engineering, construction management or other closely related field of study. Students must be taking at least 12-units of course work.

Students must have a permanent address within the Chapter region (Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties).

Preference will be given to students with applicable work experience (interning at a City or consultant firm, summer work for a construction company, etc).

The selected grantees must attend a Chapter General Meeting to accept the grant. Previous Monterey Bay APWA Scholarship Grantees will be considered only in the absence of other eligible applicants.
