November 18 General Meeting hosted by City of Seaside
December 10 Chapter 2015 Awards submittal deadline
This year’s tournament was a success. We hosted 80 golfers and raised over $6,000 for our Internship and Scholarship Programs. The success of this event is attributed to our Golf Committee who worked very hard to plan the tournament and all of our sponsors who gave generously to continue our highly successful student programs.
Please Save The Date for our 5th Annual Tournament
scheduled for September 25th, 2016 at Bayonet Golf Course.

Chapter Awards

2016 APWA Monterey Bay Chapter Awards

It is that time again to start thinking about standing in front of your colleagues and accepting a beautiful plaque for the project you sweated and sacrificed over for so many years.  The American Public Works Association Monterey Bay Chapter Awards submittal forms will be coming out in October and the submittal deadline will be December 4, 2015.

To qualify for a 2016 award, the project must be substantially complete by December 31, 2015.  Last year’s winner was the Prunedale Improvement Project.  One of the projects submitted last year was for the new Pajaro Park and it went on to win the APWA National Award for Small Cities/Rural Communities (see photo from Congress below).

In addition to project awards, there will be awards for Person of the Year and Young Professional of the Year.  To qualify as a Young Professional, you must be 35 years old or younger.

So, start thinking about which project or projects, and person you would like to nominate.     If you have any questions, please contact Bob Murdoch at 831-755-4831 or
