ONLINE Senior Officials Workshop for All-Hazards Preparedness

Tuesday, June 29, 2021

8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Cost: FREE

The Monterey Bay Chapter of APWA has partnered with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) to provide a 4-hour virtual Hazard Preparedness Workshop for Senior Officials on Tuesday, June 29th from 8 am – 12 pm. We believe this hands-on and engaging workshop will be a great benefit to the senior officials in our area, so please spread the word!

This workshop provides a forum for senior officials to understand strategic and executive-level issues related to all-hazard disaster preparedness, to share proven strategies and best practices, and to enhance coordination among whole of community officials responsible for emergency preparedness, response, and recovery. The workshop emphasizes planning, operational coordination and public information and warning through extensive group discussions and a table-top exercise customized for the host. The final outcome of the seminar is the development of an action plan to improve the preparedness posture of the community/organization.

Register online by June 24th at 5 pm. Space is limited to the first 20 registrants! https://my.teex.org/TeexPortal/?MO=mExtLogin (If you do not already have an account with TEEX, you will be asked to create one.) Once registered for the course, you will receive an email confirming your registration.

Please see attached for more information, and don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
